HIGHLIGHTS
(Times are approximate.)
Story, Play, Think (10:20–10:30)
In the magical world of Chess Palace, children don’t just listen to the story – they help shape it through play, movement, and thinking.
Chess on the Board of Imagination (10:30–10:45)
Can you play chess without seeing the board? Judit Polgar plays blindfolded, keeping track of every piece and move in her mind. But what does she “see” while she plays? And what is our mind capable of when, instead of relying on our eyes, we depend on imagination, memory, and thought?
RubikChess: Logic in Motion (10:50–11:05)
A live stage demonstration featuring the winners of the inaugural 2025 RubikChess Tournament, with commentary by Judit Polgar.
Think Moves Ahead (11:10–11:25)
Chess, magic, and surprises on one stage! In this unique performance by Benedict and Judit Polgar, put your powers of observation to the test: are you really seeing what is actually happening?
Playing Against Myself (13:10–13:30)
When a chess master meets his AI counterpart. Can artificial intelligence really learn to play like you? Chess players from Morgan Stanley put this to the test, live on stage.
Reality Check Quiz (15:00–15:25)
Don’t believe your eyes! Put your logic and observation skills to the test in an interactive quiz full of surprises.
Meet the Queen of Chess (16:45–17:05)
A conversation with Judit Polgar, the subject of the documentary The Queen of Chess, following the film screening.
Festival Closing (17:05–17:15)
Colorblind – performed live by Chilean singer-songwriter Juga – invites us to look beyond colours and differences, because what we see at first glance isn’t always what matters.
The programme is subject to change.
