ART AND CHESS IN 30 MINUTES - FAMILY GUIDED TOURS
17 September, Tuesday
Hungarian National Gallery,

11:00-16:30 CEST

In the permanent exhibitions, we offer short (30-minute) guided tours every hour, which are both related to the fine arts and the world of chess. As fast as a 20-move chess game, we move through the exhibition spaces at a brisk pace. The art teachers will invite the characters from the Chess Palace books to help unfold the themes. Interactive, playful programmes for parents and children.

The greatest masters in Hungarian art 11:00-11:30; 12:00-12:30

French Defense – Collection of International Art 13:00-13:30; 14:00-14:30

In black and white - Shades in Modern Art 15:00-15:30; 16:00-16:30

Worksheets for children:
With a free exhibition guide, families are encouraged to explore our exhibitions independently between two chess games. The tasks do not rely on prior knowledge, just careful attention to detail! Games take between 15-30 minutes depending on age.

Colouring
We also offer help for the youngest children to explore independently. They have to find a masterpiece and colour it in using a few questions and black and white pictures.

We reserve the right to make changes to the programmes.
